Dermatology Nurse Practitioner

Stephanie Kemmerling is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with more than 15 years of clinical experience, dedicated exclusively in recent years to delivering high-quality dermatologic care. A longtime resident of Friendswood, she is deeply committed to serving the community she and her family proudly call home. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2010 before completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in 2019. That same year, she further expanded her leadership training by earning a Certificate in Strategic Healthcare Leadership from Cornell University.

Over the course of her career, she has worked in diverse clinical settings, gaining extensive experience in medical and cosmetic dermatology. She is passionate about patient education and takes pride in providing thorough, compassionate, and personalized care to patients of all ages. Her commitment to advancing dermatologic practice extends beyond the clinic. She previously served as Chair of the Nurse Practitioner Society of the Dermatology Nurses’ Association and has presented at national conferences on topics such as psoriasis. Locally, she enjoys partnering with primary care providers on skin cancer detection and speaks at area schools about sun safety and skin health.

Deeply rooted in the Friendswood community, she is actively involved in Friendswood ISD, serving on various committees that support student health and wellness. Her two daughters attend Friendswood schools, and being part of a family-centered community is one of the many reasons she is excited to join this practice. As a mother balancing busy school and extracurricular schedules, she understands firsthand the importance of having expert, accessible dermatologic care close to home.

Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching her daughters in volleyball and dance, reading, traveling, and connecting with friends.
